Favorite Bible Passage:

Psalm 19: 7-9

The revelation of God is whole

and pulls our lives together.

The signposts of God are clear

and point out the right road.

The life-maps of God are right,

showing the way to joy.

The directions of God are plain

and easy on the eyes.

God's reputation is twenty-four-carat gold,

with a lifetime guarantee.

The decisions of God are accurate

down to the nth degree.

Testimony:

It is hard to describe myself sometimes. I am a pig veterinarian, a veterinary epidemiologist, a teacher, a researcher, a husband, a father and most of all and over all, a Christian. I grew up on a swine farm outside Drayton, Ontario, Canada, a small village in southwestern Ontario. The Christian community in which I was raised was of Dutch Calvinists who had immigrated to Canada after the second world war. It was a community whose endeavors in church, in parochial school, and in the business of farming, was a function of the famous quote of Abraham Kuyper, a Dutch theologian, politician and teacher, who stated "There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry: 'Mine!'." This sovereignty over all creation is something that I am allowed to see each day. The work of discovery in research and study is not only a pleasure in gaining further understanding of this earth, but it also illustrates the work of God in this world.
